Travel Tales: Introduction
One of our favorite things to do as a family is TRAVEL! We are very blessed / lucky to do quite a bit of traveling and have taken our almost 2-year-old to a variety of different places.
Traveling is a phenomenal way to expose kids to the world, which constitutes an important part of their early learning. Whether you can and want to travel the world with kids, or are just interested in / able to expose them to your community, there are so many benefits to doing so. I’ll take the perspective of broader travels, since I have the experience, but this information can be broadly applied to community exposure in general.
The biggest benefits, in my experience, of travel for kids are:
Exposure to different people and cultures
Getting outside their regular routine and schedule —> increased flexibility and adaptability
Opportunities to try different cuisines, spices, flavors, etc.
Surprising experiences that enrich your kids’ lives
I’ll elaborate more on these points, provide other insights, and explore many fun travel locations in my Travel Tales series.
Welcome aboard!
