Same-Page Parenting

WHAT IS Same-Page PARENTING?

Same-Page Parenting is coaching for 2 co-parents (regardless of partnership status* or gender) who would like help navigating various co-parenting challenges. To be very clear, this is not couples counseling and issues regarding your relationship more broadly are not appropriate for the coaching I offer. Rather, our work together will focus specifically on co-parenting challenges.

Working together as co-parents is a critical, but often under-valued aspect of parenting. Not only does working together effectively make parenting easier on the parents, it’s also better for children as it significantly increases consistency and predictability in their world.

No matter what your relationship with your co-parent was like prior to having a child (or children), nearly everyone can benefit from attending to their co-parenting relationship whether on their own or in a more focused manner through coaching.

*I do not work with co-parents who are actively in the process of separation or divorce.

WHAT KINDS OF TOPICS CAN WE ADDRESS TOGETHER?

Topics to be addressed can include, but are not limited to:

  • Improving communication between co-parents in service of more cohesive parenting

  • Navigating parenting responsibilities

  • Making joint decisions about your parenting approach

  • Developing an understanding of your co-parents’ perspectives on parenting

Please note that I do not assess or treat mental health conditions of any kind. I do not provide general couples counseling. I also do not work with co-parents actively in the process of separation or divorce. All of our work together will be limited to managing non-clinical issues and focused on the co-parenting relationship.

WHAT ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF WAYS WE CAN PARTNER TOGETHER?

Same-Page Parenting coaching takes place primarily through on-line calls. Other options can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

I look forward to our partnership and helping you become the parent you want to be!
